Stop us if you've heard this before: David Beckham has a new tattoo.
The former soccer stud is making news with his legs this week (although not for their play on the field) by getting some fresh, intricate ink on his left ankle.
On March 30, David shared an image of his newest body ink addition on Instagram, an image of a classical couple carrying a sheet, which he got at Hollywood's famed Shamrock Social club.
David seems all too thrilled with his tat.
"Great new piece from Mark Mahoney at shamrock….," David captioned his image, which he shared with his 21.1 million followers. "Always nice to sit and listen to marks conversation for 5 hours whilst watching him work... True artist."
In the past, David has said that his tattoos all mean something personal to him. His body is littered with images focused on religion and family.
In September 2015, he got the nickname "Buster" tattooed on his neck in honor of his 17-year-old son, Brooklyn Beckham.
"I've always called Brooklyn (Buster) since the day he was born," David said in sharing the image of his then-new ink. "Love you Bust."
Earlier in the year he got the number "99" tattooed on his pinky.
"99 was a good year for me…" he captioned the image of his hand that showed the number "99" on the knuckle of his pinkie finger.
The year was indeed a stellar one for the swoonworthy father and husband. Aside from tying the knot, David and his former Spice Girl wife Victoria Beckham welcomed son Brooklyn in March of 1999, too. And, oh by the way, for all the soccer fans out there, it was in 1999 that his Manchester United team won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League.
David fresh tattoo from this week is probably a nice distraction from the the always-prevalent divorce rumors that surround him.
Earlier in the week, it was revealed that the reigning "Sexiest Man Alive" quietly resigned from his wife's company. Many saw this as writing on the wall that the longtime couple's relationship is on the rocks.
Several media reports have said that any rumors of marital discourse are simply false.
