Boston Red Sox center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. extended his hitting streak to 29 games with a single in the fourth inning against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday.
The streak moves Bradley one over the halfway mark of New York Yankees legend Joe DiMaggio's historic run of 56 consecutive games with a hit.
Bradley Jr. is now tied with Johnny Damon for the fourth-longest hitting streak in Red Sox history as he chases the elusive 35-game mark, set by DiMaggio's brother Dom in 1949.
