The Purple One's siblings reportedly are fighting over ways to make some quick green.
At least three of Prince's six siblings have gathered together behind a proposed two-hour TV special involving major music producers and famous artists, TMZ.com reported Tuesday.
The special, planned for August, reportedly would include all six siblings as co-producers and help them generate much-needed cash while Prince's multimillion dollar estate is tied up in a slow-moving probate court proceeding.
Unidentified sources told TMZ that Prince's full sister Tyka Nelson and at least one other sibling are opposed to the project.
Tyka wants to produce her own special and maintain control over it, TMZ said.
It was Tyka who first filed the probate case after Prince's shocking death last month.
She listed herself and half siblings John, Norrine, Sharon, Alfred and Omarr as Prince's only surviving heirs.
According to TMZ's sources, some of the other siblings are livid that Tyka continues to live rent free in a house that Prince owned and that's still being paid for by the bank now managing his estate.
The other siblings think they deserve some interim support too, the sources said, and the TV special is one solution to that problem.
"It's gotten really nasty. No one can agree on anything," one source linked to the legal negotiations told TMZ.
In a Facebook statement Friday, Tyka denied a prior report that she "stormed out" of a family meeting concerning the superstar's estate last month.
"No one in my family has fought about anything, and least of all me … but I must admit I think it's funny that I'm the one they say 'stormed out' or that 'we are at war.' Me? Us? Really? Where was I when all that happened?" she wrote.
Tyka said her family was planning an official memorial and public event to take place in the coming months, most likely in August.
